Journeys to Freedom

The Journeys to Freedom celebrates the 200 years of abolition of slavery in the United Kingdom.  A unique blend of music, dance and drama, this presentation comprised of 9 perfoemances that explored the relationship between the town of Oxford and Timbuktu in Africa.  Do you know the origins of the word Timbuktu?  Do you know what Malcom X's relationship was with the city of Oxford? 

The Journeys to Freedom was a project taken on by the Pegasus Theatre in Oxford.  The cast and crew worked towards an amazing performance toiling through six to eight months of rehersals and rehersals and rehersals.
